After graduating San Diego State University in 1993, Andrew dedicated his career toward his passion of off-road. Andrew was President of the GhostRiders Motorcycle Club, a leading AMA, and District 36 club, and maintains his hobby by riding on a regular basis. Andrew got married in 1996 and is the father of two boys. His oldest son, Dylan, races BMX and rides a KX60 while his younger son, Logen has taken over the Derbi 50.

The creation of Outplay Action Sports: Andrew bought a digital helmet-cam and began documenting his rides with his buddies so they could watch the day’s events back in the campground. It soon became obvious that there was a need to share this footage with all riders so they could learn about new places to ride and actually see the terrain from a rider’s perspective. Andrew began collecting footage for riders of all levels - from pee wee tracks to beginner trails to expert-only areas. During the time Andrew was creating the book, his grandmother, Sara Lenhardt passed away. She was a great inspiration to Andrew. Andrew was challenged to do something meaningful with the funds that Sara left for him, which lead to the creation of Outplay Action Sports and funded the first print run of the book in January 2004. By November of 2004, the book had reviews in Dirt Rider, the San Diego Off-Road Magazine, Sand Addiction, Moto Kids, Four Wheeler, and Digital Producer. At this point more than 2,500 riders are enjoying Where to Ride Guide, Vol #1, and over 2,000 have purchased Vol. #2. The book and DVD combo's are available in more than 60 motorcycle shops in California.

The long awaited Vol. #2 of the Where to Ride Guide is now available. Andrew is now working on Vol. #3 which is expected to be released in 2010 and will follow with future volumes in surrounding regions of the Western U.S. Andrew is also adding key products to Outplay’s offerings that will enhance the off-road experience of his friends, clients and readers.

An avid rider, mountain biker and camper, Andrew and his family spend many weekends traveling with their trailer in search of the next best riding site.
